MIDDLEBORO —

Local crafters are featured in a Buy Local downtown store that is open for the holidays.

Jane Kudcey, of the town Office of Economic and Community Development, said the group Middleboro on the Move came up with the idea to open the temporary shop and rent space to crafters.

Kudcey said the store is filled with local vendors selling artwork, jewelry, ornaments, wreaths and Avon and Pampered Chef products, all at inexpensive prices.

Kudcey said the shop is festively decorated and every table is full of items to buy.

“People have a nice time just being there,” she said. “People are happy to see it.”

The shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays until Christmas.

Crafters interested is renting a table for $20 a day can call Kudcey at 508-946-2402 or visit the shop at 54 Center St.
